Thou long expected Jesus
Who from our sins would save us
When shall the salvation come
And the love of sin shall cease.

0 Thou Saviour of mankind
Bid the sorrow of heart cease
Take away the heavy load
Make us rejoice in Thy work.

There are many fake prophets
Tho' they perform miracles
To deceive all beloved
Bid them cease, Lord from henceforth

Lord Jesus we beseech Thee
Give us spirit to endure
That we may serve Thee to end
And yield not to temptation.

Lord revive the sleeping souls
Drive our weaknesses away
That we may in unity be
Until we see Thy face, Lord.

Almighty blessed Saviour
Source of our joy come from Thee
Give Thy grace, 0 Lord to us
