O Lord my God thou art my hope

Thy word is food to me,

Thy hand raised me from infancy

And through my childhood days.

And yet I fell the wondrous news

Of Thy care, year to year;

I leave the last remaining days

Under Thy watchful care.

Be Thou my guide when strength shall fail

And when my hairs turn white,

Let Thy great glory shine round me

When it’s my time to die.
