In mercy from heav’n to you?
In a gentle and pleading voice,
The message is full of love;
Pay heed to it,

Listen to the good messengers
With message from Zion's king:
“Forgiveness, free for the sinner"
In the name of Jesus Christ;
How abundant,
Pardon in His precious name.

For hearts in deception and fear
They brought confidence and rest;
The message of comfort they bring
Wipes out all your bitter tears;
Good messengers,
Wipes away your bitter tears.

Who has believ’d our good report?
Who has heard the joyful news?
Who believ’d the news of pardon
That Christ extended to you?
Can you refuse
His good and gracious mercy?
