We spread our garments and palm leaves,

On path for the King of Israel.

In lowliness entered Salem,

O Thou 'who clear ‘d the Temple Clean,

Hosanna unto David’s Son,

Hosanna sing song of sweetness.

To the king who humbled Himself,

Who came to the world in our form,

Work’d for salvation of our race,

Accept our praises Jesus Christ.

O that we could be as He is.

O that we could be known as Him.

Humble thyself ye arrogants,

That the work of Jesus on us

May make us the children of light,

And His praises may be abound.

Holy Jesus Christ Thee we praise,

Clean us as Thou Cleansed Thy temple.

Wash away our unfilthiness,

Make us know the worth of Thy work,

That Thy work may not be in vain,

And take us to eternal life.
