Come, let us join our cheerful songs

With angels round the throne;

This is the day that Jesus found

And ordained as His own.

This day the God of heaven bless’d,

Out of the seven days;

A type of rest unto the bless’d

A type of heav ‘nly days.

So, let us sing unto his name

And hope on for the day;

When Jesus shall come in His fame,

And end all earth’s vain way.

Ever more till his grace he brings

We shall to Jesus sing.

Let’s keep rejoicing in the Lord,

For ever in His word.
