Hymn 43
0 Lord our God hear Thou our pray’r
1
0 Lord our God hear Thou our pray’r In this Thy house on this Thy day
And own as grateful sacrifice Let our song be acceptable.
2
Sweet is Thy rest, 0 Lord my God
But there's a greater rest above
Still, with expectation of joy
Thus our thirsty soul now desire
3
No more fatigue, no more labour
Nor sin, nor death shall reach the place
’Die voice of pain shall not sound there
Which warble from Immortal tongue
4
No rude alarms of ranging foes
The rest without anxiety
The daylight will not be dark there
But sacred day, eternal noon.
5
O long expected day begin
Dawn on this realms of world of pain
With joy we shall walk path of joy
And sleep in death to rest with Lord.
