O Lord, would Thy pardon accept

Such a sinner like me?

Have my sins been carried away,

And has Thou made me glad?

Could it be that the Cross you bore

For me, despising shame?

Ought I then, Lord to be ashamed

Of thus being baptised?

Thou made Thyself an example

In waters of Jordan;

Why should my pride refuse To do

what Thou has done?

Jesus, the zeal of love Thou shows

Blames my own cold response,

But my feet now is swift to walk

In the way of Thy will.
