Jesus, Thou that feedeth Thy flock

Like the kind and good shepherd

Who gives to them Thy tender care

And embraces the young ones.

Receive these children, we pray Thee

Draw them to Thy dear embrace,

We have the blest assurance that

No evil can harm them there.

There, they will never go astray,

The lion will not hunt them,

And let Thy compassionate love

Be their portion all their life.

In Thy green pastures up on high

Let them find a place of rest;

Let them eat the green, tender grass

And drink waters of Thy love.
