O help us Lord! each hour of need

O help us Lord! each hour of need
Thy heav'nly succour give
Help us in thought and word and deed
Each hour on earth we live.

O help us when our spirits bleed
With contrite anguish sore
And when our hearts are cold and dead
O help us Lord, the more.

O help us through the pray’r of faith
More firmly to believe
For still the more the servant hath
The more shall be received.

When we as strangers come to Thee
When we prostrate to Thee
The crumbs that dropped from Thy table
Are sufficient for us.

But Thou who art merciful God
Will give in abundance
The crumbs that dropped from Thy table
Becomes our joy and light.

O help us, Jesus, from on high
We know no help but Thee
O help us to live and to die
As Thine in heav’n to be.
