To Thee O Lord when morning

Breaks into light

When bird awoke and the clouds

disappear

Above the sun and in the shining of light

With assurance that Thou Lord art with me.

And when weariness make my soul

slumbering

Then my request I will bring unto Thee

O how sweet is the sleep under Thy shadow

But to wake and to see Thee Thou sweetest.

And so it shall be on the morn

of the end

When sod shall rise and the clouds disappear

And then in beauty that exceed the sunshine

Thoughts that “I am with thee" shall now revive.
