Jesus, still lead on,

While life’s course is run,

And we’ll follow at Thy bidding,

Meekly in Thy footsteps treading

Guide us by Thy hand

To our fatherland.

Should the way be drear,

Let us never fear,

And in days of greatest sorrow

Trust Thee for a bright to-morrow,

For, through-weal and woe,

To our home we go.

If we feel the smart

Of a wounded heart,

Or if others’ griefs oppress us,

Still may patience, Lord, possess us;

Let us, ever true,

Keep the end in view.

Order Thou our way

All our earthly stay;

Should our path be rough and thorny,

Give us grace meet for the journey;

Then, when life is o'er,

Open wide Thy door.
